About
Eshelman Innovation, Eshelman School of Pharmacy, Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, and UNC School of Medicine have come together to build upon UNC’s world class drug discovery infrastructure, expand its capabilities through external partnerships, and fund promising UNC therapeutic programs. The ultimate goal is to help advance such programs further down the translational path and maximize the chances of reaching patients with novel treatments while realizing value for UNC and its researchers.
The Drug Discovery Initiative Joint Steering Committee
The Drug Discovery Initiative is lead by a Joint Steering Committee (JSC) of UNC’s leadership in health sciences. The JSC manages and works to accomplish the mission of the Drug Discovery Initiative by making project funding decisions, infrastructure allocation, management fee determinations, and defining scientific focus.
